Chip, RAM & storage
Pro and Max chips, 16GB+ memory and larger SSDs hold value far better than base configs. Get the spec exactly right for an accurate offer.
Battery cycle count
Apple rates these batteries for ~1,000 cycles. A high count or "Service Recommended" status affects the quote — check under About This Mac.
Cosmetic condition
Light wear is fine and expected. Deep scratches, dents or cracked casing move you down a grade — see our grading guide.
Screen condition
Some Retina models show anti-reflective coating wear ("Staingate"). Tell us if yours does; we price it case by case rather than rejecting it.
Apple ID & Find My
Sign out of iCloud and remove Find My before sending — essential on 2018-and-later Macs. A device still locked can only be valued for parts.
Charger & extras
No power adapter? We deduct £35 for a replacement, or bring your own. Original box and accessories can nudge the quote up.

Q.How much is my MacBook Pro worth?
It comes down to the model and chip — M5 Max and M-series Pro machines hold the most value — plus RAM, storage, cosmetic condition and battery cycle count. Enter your exact spec in the quote form for a guaranteed, up-front figure rather than an "up to" estimate.
Q.Do you buy Intel and older MacBook Pros?
Yes. We buy MacBook Pros from 2014 onwards — the Retina Intel models, the 2016–2020 Touch Bar range, and every Apple Silicon generation from M1 through to M5 Pro/Max.
Q.What if my battery has a high cycle count?
Apple rates MacBook Pro batteries for around 1,000 cycles. A high count or "Service Recommended" status can reduce the quote, but rarely makes a machine worthless — describe it accurately and we'll price it fairly.
Q.I don't have the charger — is that a problem?
Not at all. Send it without the adapter and we deduct £35 for a replacement, or supply your own compatible charger. We'll still buy your MacBook Pro either way.
Q.Do I need to remove Find My and sign out of iCloud?
Yes. Turn off Find My Mac, sign out of iCloud and remove your Apple ID first. A Mac still locked to an Apple ID — especially 2018 and later — can only be valued for parts, so this step protects your quote.
Q.How quickly do I get paid?
We aim to pay within 48 hours of your MacBook Pro arriving and being checked, by bank transfer or PayPal — your choice.
Q.Is my data wiped securely?
