Just when you might have started to get ready for some new tech goodies from Apple and started considering getting a MacBook Pro because of the low prices, news of the new M2 MacBook Pro is making rounds on Twitter. There have been leaks claiming that the new 14 and 16- inch MacBook Pro is going to be bigger and better than ever before.
Apple pushed back the release date from fall 2022 to 2023 for the M2 Pro and Max. LeaksApplePro’s claim is that the new releases will bring tech that has, “better speeds, better battery life, less heat.” These, of course, are things customers are always happy to hear about. But they also said that the expected updates are going to be “worth the wait”. That sounds promising considering that MacBook’s latest offering has 17 to 21 hours of battery life for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. If this new iteration can offer even more, that will be an unexpected surprise for sure.
However, if you’re looking for a change in the design, don’t hold your breath. LeaksApplePro believes that the design changes will be minimal to nonexistent. This makes sense because Apple completely overhauled the MacBook Pro in 2021 adding lots of ports and changing some other design elements.
So, if you’re in the market, or are soon to be in the market for a new MacBook Pro, you might want to wait to see what’s coming out next year if you fall into any of the following groups of users: if you’re making a lot of 3D content, writing apps, or making videos. If any of these describe you, well, you might get more of what you would like from the upcoming MacBook Pro that’s set to be released in 2023. However, if you’re not someone who needs a lot of creativity apps and just want your MacBook for general purposes, you might want to take advantage of the prices of MacBook Pros right new before the new version drops. There’s no word yet on the pricing of a 2023 MacBook Pro, but if it’s bigger and better than before, that might mean a higher price tag.
